The Monthly contest is designed to encourage Society members to hone their craft on a regular basis and to expand their photographic horizons by exploring a variety of photographic themes. Photographs for the monthly theme are judged at the next month's meeting. For example, January's theme is judges at the February BRPAS meeting.

Contest rules are:

1. Only club members are eligible to enter the contest.

2. Each member may submit up to 2 images in each contest. All entries must be photographed by the entrant.

3. Prints must be un-matted on paper not exceeding 8.5 x 11 inches without frames

4. Photographs will be assigned a number and placed on display at the beginning of the monthly meeting

5. Judging will be done by everyone in attendance at the monthly meeting selecting their first, second and third choice for the best images based on the judging criteria listed below. Ballots must be turned in by the end of the break following the program.

6. First place will be displayed for three consecutive months at the Lynchburg Camera Shop and on the BRPAS web site.
